can I earn money by leaving my computer on?

Can you really earn some income just by leaving your computer on? That's what GOMEZ , a peer-to-peer distributing network company, promises. The basic idea is that you install an application that uses your computer's processing power to test the performance of websites around the world.

For those afraid of Adware and performance drops, GOMEZ has an unnoticeable memory footprint on your computer, and Internet speed is not changed. I've been using it for a few weeks and barely notice it. However, GOMEZ is relatively new and may be a little buggy at times. You should just quit the program and restart it if you run into any trouble.

So the money part. You get paid a few cents from offering GOMEZ your computer's processing power. This may not sound like a lot, but there's a way to multiply your income. GOMEZ encourages you to install and run it's peer application on ANY computer you have, so you don't need to make multiple accounts - just install the app on different CPU's you have access to. Moreover, there is a referral program in which you can earn $1 for every person you refer - meaning that the other person has to install the software on their machine for you to get your monies.

Once you sign up, remember to put your PayPal, Alipay, or Moneybookers account for payment. Also, remember to fill out your "payment and address" settings that match up with your paypal (& etc) account information. Once you account reaches $5 and it's the end of you month, you will be credited. All these details sound kind of complex, but the whole process seriously takes about 10 minutes and after that, you just leave your computer on.

If you market GOMEZ to others and have access to several computers that are usually left on anyway, then you have the potential to really earn some spare change.

earn on!

Earn Online With : Inboxdollars

Have you ever been scammed by free-offers and surveys, and ended up not getting paid? There are only a handful of survey programs that actually do pay. Generally, the more legitimate survey websites that pay have a higher minimum earnings amount. For instance, Inboxdollars has a relatively high minimum of $30, but provides you with a $5 sign-up bonus to get you on your way.

How to earn money on Inboxdollars:

Try to complete as many "free-offers" as you can. The trick is to READ THE FINE PRINT, and cancel your subscription AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, usually within 7 days. Some companies like NETFLIX are nice enough and tell you up front that there is a one time fee required to get the bonus, but it's usually worth it: for example, Netflix may offer you $8 to sign up under them, but you might have to pay a $5 sign up fee. This is a quick $3 that takes only a couple of minutes.

The great thing about InboxDollars is that they offer a LOT of offers that are $5 or even $8 each. If you tread carefully, you CAN earn between $50 to $100 within one month just by doing offers. Personally, the surveys are more of a pain because of the time, but they are a lot safer since you never have to put money in - and the surveys are relatively generous, usually averaging about 25 cents per survey.

So if you're willing to sign up for free offers and be meticulous about canceling your subscriptions (just a manner calling/emailing), then you can make some substantial gas money with InboxDollars.

Best wishes, and Earn On!

GET RICH OR DIE HARD

Hi everyone, my name is Gale and I'm here to share with college students the more legitimate ways to make money online. Get rich quick schemes abound, and I'm here to help separate what's good and what's worth spending time on. I myself am a college student and have been scammed a few times myself, but in the process have found some true gems online.

Without further ado, I'm going to introduce some of the programs I'm using. I'll start with PTC programs, or "Paid to Click" programs. Now, this particular industry is PLAGUED with huge promises but dishonest web administrators looking for a quick buck. It's been so that now anyone can buy "bux scripts" and set up their own websites. They'll put out good deals and encourage you to buy big referral packs. Those referral packs often cost hundreds (I bought one for $449.00) and sometimes when the admin grabs enough moolah, he/she'll take it and run. It's a pretty good scheme. But despite all this, there ARE still a handful of PTC's left.

We'll start off with a PTC highlight:

Clixsense

This ptc is one of the oldest, most reliable PTC's. Its business model is more sustainable than that of others'...for example, it doesn't guarantee a "minimum # of ads", but does manage to have a handful of ads. You can tell that this is a more reliable PTC just by the ads you click on - the websites are cleaner and more professional.

Another legit factor to Clixsense is that they pay you by check automatically when your account reaches ten dollars - but you can change this to another higher amount. Although $10 is not a low minimum, Clixsense further differentiates itself from the fishy "Instant $2 Payouts!" you see floating around.

Lastly, Clixsense has no "referral packs" for you to buy. This means that your earnings are solely dependent on your own referrals. But this is a lot more realistic than people buying 500 referral packs and expecting big daily dividends.

In essence, Clixsense has a purer business model and is going to be around for a while. You will not earn any fast cash from it unless you are super awesome at referring people, but that should be motivation enough.
